I'll be chairing a session of the Vermont History Symposium called "Back to the Land: Food, Communes, Migration and Entrepreneurship." Come at noon for a back-to-the-land slideshow!
Park Slope Food Coop (f. 1973): The most thematically-appropriate venue imaginable for a reading of this book. I'll be in conversation with several pioneering co-op members as we consider the lasting implications of the back-to-the-land period on organic farming, innovative food systems and the American diet. Back-to-the-land themed snacks will be served.
